Disabled Employment Quota System

The Disabled Employment Quota System is a policy that has been in effect for 33 years since 1991. Under this system, employers with 50 or more regular employees are required to hire a certain percentage of people with disabilities
(3.1% for the private sector and 3.8% for the public sector). Employers who do not comply with this requirement must pay a 'disability employment levy.'

Continuous Increase in Minimum Wage

The basic amount for calculating the employment levy is based on the minimum wage of the current year and is announced annually.
Due to factors such as COVID-19, the mandatory employment rate for private companies is currently held at 3.1%. However, it is planned to increase this rate to 5%, aligning it with the public sector in the future.
